Dissection of a Pig´s Heart, Lungs, and Kidney
The students went to the laboratory to observe various
pig organs. They reviewed the pathway of air through the trachea and into the
lungs, the route blood takes through the heart and the heart´s different
muscles, and the structures of a kidney, all first hand. They also were able to
hold and cut into their own organs to better understand the anatomy of a pig,
the animal which is most similar to humans anatomically.
